Eileen Stein Posted April 28, 2006 Report Share Posted April 28, 2006 One of Denise's terrific photos was just chosen for a 2005 SportsShooter Award of Excellence. This is a major competition in which close to 3,000 images by 700 or 800 sports photographers were judged by bigtime press photographers. To see the photo (some of us have seen it before ), go to http://www.sportsshooter.com/2005_contest_winners/index.html and scroll down til you see the border collie and sheep. Since sheepdog trialing is not one of your best-known sports, and Denise is not employed by a newspaper or any other media (as nearly all of the other winning photographers seem to be), I think this is a tremendous accomplishment.
