WyoBC
That happened to us once with Sage. It was kind of funny. But she only did it once.
lostinthewoods
Our BC's have been hit or miss. 2 of our 4 destroy the toys and there beds. We have come home to many stuffing filled rooms. We have started to leaving some marrow bones out for them to chew on and that seems to help. Also we have yet to find a toy that can stand up to our 2 chewers. Everything we buy gets destroyed in a matter of hours. LOL
hoku's mum
Stuffed toys last about 30 seconds around here. The best thing we have found are the big flossy-bone (thick rope with knots in it). They last a couple of weeks, but we have a constant colorful string mess on the floors! Dal & Mad's Mom
I'm sorry I didnt get a pic when it happened but, Dal and Maddie found an old outdoor chair cushion and spent the whole day dragging it. Well it must have ripped at some point and had foam chunks inside. They left a great pattern all over the hill in the back. I said to Maddie what happened? She grabbed the cushion hull and gladly demonstrated.rofl
Catu
I don't miss money on toys. Auca has a hard rubble ring that seems to be bomb proof, besides ll her toys are plastic bottles or pieces of rag.
Keith Ramsay
Mine systematically dis assembles her toys. I buy toys that are "permanent" adn treats that are toysthat are easily disassembled! She loves doing it and never bothers anything esle... so I figure what is the harm in a squeakie a week or so! r b m
Best Dog Toy Evar! You can use it as a ball, its durable enough for tug, its quiet, has good bounce(but not too much) AND you can insert large treats for you pup to figure out. I have one we use every day, and its lasted me for months!
Barb Scott
A word of caution: our BC swallowed a part of a stuffed toy; a momth later he had emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction caused it. He then got peritonitis. Fortunately, he came out of it OK, but no more stuffed toys at our house! Barb S
bcnewe2
I have some friends who had the same thing happen to their dog. He ate a squeaky out of a stuffed toy and ended up dying from an infection that set up in his tummy months later. It took a post mortem to figure out what the problem was. Poor lil guy. Mine think that's what toys are for. I watch closely and take the squeaky part away when they get it out. They always look so say when the toy dies. Dollar Store toys are wonderful for my budget. shelb'smum
Lol its almost the most sensible to buy toys for dogs, they are cheap and you don't care if they get ruined/ killed / or whatever
shelb'smum
Oh Another thing I was thinking about, if they are ripping about stuffed animals, don't let them go into the yard. causes a LARGE and DIFFICULT mess to clean up
stwilliams
we are lucky that abby just pulls out the stuffing and leaves the squeakers in the floor

On our last field trip, Kessie got bored at the campfire, so she matter-of-factly walked up to one guy's orange juice bottle and took it. He was drinking better things than orange juice by then, and when he finally did notice what she was playing with and chewing on, it was way too late and he didn't want it back anymore . What if it had been coke or lemonade? Yikey...

Numerous geizers happened this way And when you yell at him to leave them, he just gives you this look : "What!? What's your problem? Just mind your own business, I'll mind mine!"
bcnewe2
Don't forget the plastic gallon milk jugs. When people come over we have to walk around and pick up all the "toys" laying around the yard or risk the lable of the "trashy neighbors"! My LGD's are now trying to take things right out of my hands. Doesn't matter if I'm done with it or not, they think they're all toys for them! You should see what toy stuffing looks like after the lawnmower goes over it. We can have snow in August!
