tturn00
We have a sweet dog we adopted from a shelter about 7 years ago. At the time the vet told us she was probably close to 2 years old. She is a wonderful member of our family and I have always been curious what she is. We've had many opinions and many mention border collie but probably mixed with something else. She is medium size, medium haired, reddish-brown and white. She does seem to have herding instinct as I've seen her nip at the kids heals when they were all running. She is fast and can turn and twist very quickly when running. Her goal in life is to catch one of the squirrels that teases her from our back fence each morning. She is easily trainable but we haven't really worked on too much. I have a picture of her but no web page to post it on. If you experts would be interested in seeing her picture and giving me your opinion please email me at tturn00@yahoo.com and I will send you the picture. Sorienew
What a cutie!! Could she be part Sheltie and Border?
AK dog doc
Maybe part Aussie or spaniel? Her ear set looks a little spaniel-y to me. She's quite the red-head, isn't she? People pay a lot to get that color of hair - pretty!
tturn00
The more I look at the pictures on the Australian Shepherd site I think that is more her look but the ears do look spanielish!
Keegan's Mom
I agree...more Aussie to me than Border Collie. She sure is pretty whatever breed she is!!!
borderbob
aussie and cocker spaniel? she has cocker eyes
Kat's Dogs
I think aussie/cocker. I can see some cocker in her face but her overall body looks more like Aussie. She sure is pretty!
MrSnappy
She looks exactly like a mini Aussie actually. We have rescued oodles of them and most of them look sorta Aussie-ish but more like your dog. RDM
Beth G
Yup I have to agree. That or maybe bc and spaniel would be my next guess, as the ears are a little long.
Jen C
I see cocker mix - could definitely be aussie too... but the face is very cocker-ish. What a cute pup!!
Cheri McDonald
She is very cute whatever she is. Love the subject "Do I own a border collie" Frankly, mine own me.
AWQH
I would definately guess Aussie/Cocker cross. LOL I'm not a breeder, or a vet, but that would be my guess Dianne
Willikers
Aussie Cocker X was my immediate impression.
