AK dog doc
God, that sounds great, except that rum makes me vomit. D'you suppose it could be made with whiskey? I'm appealing to your knowledge as a chemist and a scientist and chef extrordinaire for mixing of all liquids (inlcuding ice cream and medication...) Pipedream Farm
Actually my favorite source of ethanol is vodka. I'm sure you can substitute your favorite source of ethanol with little influence on the flavor of my spiced cider. You see, I like lots of flavor and whisky vs. rum shouldn't alter the flavor of my spiced cider much. Besides all liquor, beer, and wines are nothing more and water, ethanol, and some impurities. StillTerry
Make that chocolate. Damn Yankees can't spell or maybe Bill is right and none of us can spell. Â Great news about the Wee-Todded one. You will never need to invest in a treadmill with all of your youngsters.
StillTerry
Mark, Â God, your holiday cheer sounds sooooo cheerful. Â I need detailed directions to your house. Â When a grey van pulls in your drive, meet it with filled glass in hand. (Keep on the porch so that I don't run over you) Â I love your designated driver concept. blackacre
Christ Terry, you made me laugh. Again. Must be Xmas. Yes Mark, even a whiff of a silver van in your driveway should send you running. Take your loved ones and your favourite dogs, whatever you can save in a few seconds. If in doubt, save the dogs and run like hell. A.
Pam Wolf
Hey Mark I have a bottle of Vodka here direct from Russia--in fact it is birch flavored! I bet it might change your mind about vodka  Â As for myself, I prefer a good single malt, none of that blended $^%# Â Pam

Pipedream Farm
Pam, Â there's a restaurant here in the DC area called the Serbian Crown that makes it's on flavored Vodkas (flavors = various berries and pepper). They bring these to the table ice cold and boy do they go down smooth and easy. Â Mark
Pam Wolf
Mark, a friend was living in Russia for a couple of years. They brought me this bottle from some town's Vodka and medicine factory . I guess it is supposed to be medicinal  It was also VERY cheap It is best served straight from the freezer, but still can't come close to that single malt! tucknjill
Hey Ter, Glad you got your xpen, and equally glad your hubby grabbed the keys! Need to get that T and T going...with a lime no less...(gin and tonic, twist of lime please.) Or Crown Royal and Ginger Ale...Or come to think of it, Long Island Iced tea..Yummmmmmmmmm. Bill Fosher
Now don't get me wrong. There's nothing that I enjoy more than a good single malt (unless it's sweet corn picked just as the water to cook it comes to a boil, served with copious butter and salt) but I have had good blended Scotch. The Famous Grouse comes to mind.
Pipedream Farm
Sam, Â let me know when the Long Island Iced teas start flowing at your place; I'll come right down. Â Mark
