Maralynn Posted March 27, 2014 Author Report Share Posted March 27, 2014 Thanks guys. Unfortunately the news doesn't look good right now. U/S showed a possible tumor and fluid aspiration showed abnormal cells that are quite possibly cancerous. They're sending out some fluid for further analysis but right now the options are just varying stages of bad. Top of the list is lymphoma, there is also the possibility of an auto immune disorder and a couple other things further down the list. The vet said overall this is really weird. Kipp should be acting sicker with everything he saw today and the fact that Kipp's still acting pretty decent makes diagnosis difficult to nail down - symptoms, bloodwork and what he saw via u/s and X-ray don't line up. Hopefully there will be something more concrete when the pathology report gets back in the next couple days. It's pretty rough right now. Not what I was expecting to hear.
