jvw
Tyra is continuing to improve. The first night she paced and whined quite a bit. They said that was normal. She was also a bit restless yesterday. I took an additional day off today. She seems almost back to normal. I cannot believe how quickly she adapted to the cone. She'll really be happy next week when she is free of that handicap! Â I noticed something very interesting. Her eyebrow area and the area around the eye still moves as if her eye is still there, just closed. I guess I just expected that whole area would be "dead". Perhaps that will change in the future. It will be interesting to see.

GentleLake
Glad to hear she's doing well. Â The one dog I knew personally and got to see after his enucleation also still had the muscle movements. I guess it makes sense . . . those muscles are separate from the ones that attach to the eyeball itself and enable it to move, so they aren't affected. And that's nice, because then it's not quite as noticeable to a casual observer.
