ladylupin
I've been looking for someone to give me herding lessons but the only guy I can find in my area hasn't e-mailed me back and its been nearly 3 weeks. Does anyone know of anyone in oregon? Or where I can find somebody? Thanks in advance
amc
Oregon's a fairly good-sized state. Whereabouts are you in Oregon?
red russel
Karen Child. http://users.bendnet.com/comebye/index.htm some of the best training you are going to find anywhere, let alone Oregon.
Rainierlass
I second the motion on Karen Child - - she comes highly recommended by many herding ppl here in WA - - my trainer has one of her pups - - Maggie, Tess and Roz
workindogs
Again, I second Amy's question....Oregon is a big place. Where are you located? Karen is an excellent trainer and instructor with a long track record of training both dogs and people. If you happen to be in Eastern OR then I would also highly recommend Patrick Shannahan....actually I highly recommend him even if you aren't close....well worth the effort. There are also well known trainers that make regular visits to the area. Scott Glenn is a regular at Fido's Farm in/near Olympia WA. Kathy Knox is also a regular visitor to the WA/OR area. We are fortunate to be blessed with a number of excellent instructors.
