Elizabeth77
When Meg lies down with her paws in front her right paw is always stretched out straight and her left paw tucked under it; both paws are never straight. Does your dog/s stretch out both paws or one paw and if the latter is it the left or right paw that is straight.?
desertranger
Post a picture. Jin does that. He sits there with one leg stretched out in front with the other tucked under. Usually it's his right foot. He also crosses his feet. Are dogs handed, you know left or right handed?
IPSY
Yes , dogs do have their own preference on which "lead" they use while walking and running. Watch your dog next time he/she strides over to the water bowl or over to you from a down/sit position. See if they vary which lead they use more. Or if your dog retrieves , throw a ball straight out in front of you and see how many times he/she turns to the left and right to return to you. MicheleS.
Both of my dogs I think are *right-pawed*. Most times they turn to their right. Chase tucks his right paw and Gypsy doesn't tuck too much but her right leg/paw is always crossed over the left when she's laying with front legs stretched out. Which is very dignified and cute
SincereArtisan
Miss Priss Ido crosses her little paws in front of her Monk stretches them out side by side in front of her Rune just...sprawls.
sweet_ceana
Poke lays like that the most often. Every once and a while it will look like he only has 3 legs.
desertranger
FYI a BCs skeletal structure is a bit different from other dogs. That's what allows them to take all kind of weird positions with their legs all akimbo and fold themselves in half like they're boneless. Unfortunately iit may also lead to health problems as they get older.
