Sorienew
Can anyone help me? HOw do we start the process to get my husband on disability? He's in bad shape and we don't know who to ask. Sorry about this topic but I don't know were else to go. Thanks to all for reading.
Allie+Tess&Kipp
You'll probably have better lucky in the "general" area, since people mostly just post photos here. Allie + Tess & Kipp http://weebordercollie.com
smileyzookie
When I was in Missouri and I got on it, I had to go to the health and welfare office in our county. Maybe try them and they should be able to show you. FYI its a big hassle and takes forever.
urge to herd
Start in the Government Listings section of your phone book. In our book, it's right at the beginning. Look under State Disability, or possibly Social Security if you're going for SS Disability, the Federal level. If you don't get the right office at first, ask if they can direct you to the right office. If your DH has a union, call the union rep. You might also visit Colorado's government web site, it should be something like www.colorado.gov and noodle around there for a bit. There's a certain amount of paperwork, but don't let it intimidate you. Your DH's dr.'s office might also be able to give you some info about who to contact. Good luck. sea4th
I work for Social Security where we hold disability hearings. First step is to file. You can do that on line or in person at a Social Security office. http://ssa.gov/
