It's outdoors, and Buddy has a map in his head that tells him where the vendors with treats park. I got down near the port-a-potties, and reeeeally had to go. Wasn't sure if I had time to walk back to my car, put Buddy in, and then walk back. So I asked a nearby vendor who's nice to dogs if I could tie Buddy there while I ran over and did my business. Buddy sat quietly and calmly after I told him "Sit. Stay." He didn't whine or pull on the rope; just waited patiently for me to come back. Didn't know he had it in him. I started tying Jackson and Skip out in the yard on a short lead and then coming in the house, increasing the time away as they seemed to handle it. It sure comes in handy!
