Bo Peep
Usher has been licking at one paw where his front dewclaws were removed at 2 days old. It didn't seem to bother him before but now.....he's picking at his right paw. Should I take him into the vet? I have checked him over for any cheet grass or anything in there and it is free and clear. There is a "nob" Why didn't it bother him before? Thanks for any input. Barb Scott
I once had a cat who was declawed as a kitten. Three or four years later, her claws started to grow thru the pads of her feet. She had to have surgery to remove them again (by a different vet!). If this continues, I'd have your vet take a look. Barb
Bo Peep
yea, I think it's time for a trip to the vet. He's about ready to get neutered. Maybe, if this is a problem, they can fix it at the same time. Thank you!! Dianne
diane allen
Just curious - why were the dew claws removed? I've generally heard that it is a better idea not to... diane
Bo Peep
That's the way he came. He's from herding lines. I didn't ask about it before hand, but I found out it was his pads that were injured.
