Black Watch Debatable
Oh, he is hot stuff! Love the photo of him stopping the ewes on the fence, like a very small reined cowhorse. What kind of sheep?

NancyO
Andrea, The first thought I had when the black and white pic was coming up on my computer was: "Yeah Gads!!!! She still has snow up there!!!!" As the full pic came up I was glad to see it wasn't true. Nancy O
blackacre
He's pretty damned cool, isn't he? Note the tail! Sheep are North Country Cheviots. The brown one is a Friesian cross. A
juliepoudrier
Great pup! That last portrait shot reminds me of Pip. Nice sheep too. I'm thinking of adding a few NCCs to the flock.... J.

blackacre
They're excellent dog training sheep--for certain uses. They'll cooperate if the dog is right but will turn and challenge if he's wrong. I really prefer my Border Cheviots overall, though. Quick and agile, like little quarter horses, and they don't get sour--always ready to make a run for it if they think they can get away with it. Also much easier to handle, hardy, good mothers, pretty rabbit ears . . . A
Cynthia P
I was there....he was great; at my place (which doesn't have nice border cheviots or very many NC cheviots) Spot Glen took two very big weathers and a few other misc yearlings right off the fence with no problems; they can paste themselves in a corner for the best of them. We didn't subject Spot glen to the Suffolk (ask Andrea about poor Nap's experience with my bi**&Hy suffolk)....I was so impressed with him...nothing compared to the glow Andrea had!
