Shadows Mom
Shadow's vet diagnosed her with vaginitis, and said we're just going to watch her for a few weeks, no meds. I was wonderng if anyone else has had this problem with their young girls? Not sure that I like just leaving the infection there, but the vet knows what shes doing. Any advice or personal experience stories would be GREATLY appreciated!
jvw
Gosh, my Tyra had this as a pup. I had forgotten all about it! We did nothing and it did go away. Jennifer
Lenajo
It goes away on its own or with the first heat.

Little Bo Boop
OMG, funny story about that Stella had it when she was about 3 months old, vet said no big deal, lot of puppys get it, just caused from not cleaning themselves enough, and it usually resolves itself...well I told my friend, he bred Stella...and he looks at her a minute, and then with a perfectly straight face says, "well...why don't ya just put some gravy on it?" OMG I thought I was gone pee my pants I laughed so hard. So that's a running gag with us now, put some gravy on it! the answer to everything! Funny thing is, I told my very straight laced vet, and he said, Ya know...thats not a bad idea! LOL.
Shadows Mom
Should I wash her some? Or leave it and let her take care of it herself? She looks messy when she goes to bed, but she's usually much cleaner in the morning... maybe she'll catch on after seeing Penny wash herself 10 thousand times a day
Little Bo Boop
Yes, that's what i did with Stella. Just take a wash cloth and wipe her couple of times a day. Should clear up pretty quick, Stella's did in about a week maybe less.
