Running through the dog door at every sound outside

My dog has access to the backyard through a dog door. The problem is, when a plane goes overhead, a loud motorcycle, a dog barking etc...she constantly scrambles and runs through the house whenever one of these sounds happens and dives through the door to outside to investigate. Wondering on a solid method to prevent this behaviour? 

The "I see that" method works for barking, and I've other undesired behavioural issues under control but not this one. She gets so frantic that I can't actually get her attention when she decides to rush through the house to the dog door and she is likely to cause herself injury because it's getting really bad. Any ideas?
