Donald McCaig
Dear Doggers, I will be interested to learn if Border Collie keenness/hyperness/work ethic will prove to be connected (as I suspect) with OCD and if that dread disease has beneficial forms. http://m.bbc.com/news/health-26679218 Donald McCaig
geonni banner
Dunno about Border Collies, but I have it and people are always complimenting me on the cleanliness and decor of my place. And I nearly always know where everything is. I guess that could be considered and "up-side."
Crawford Dogs
If anyone is researching this condition they may find it helpful to know that in veterinary medicine OCD is actually called CCD (canine compulsive disorder) because OCD is a shoulder condition in dogs. Sadly I was reading this thread thinking it was about the shoulder condition. Bethany, Rose, and Loki

Howling Farmer
The new study must be prompting interest. My BC, who has had issues with chasing his shadow, was just featured in a Portland article http://www.oregonlive.com/pets/index.ssf/2014/03/pet_talk_canines_are_also_pron.html Leslie

Howling Farmer
I really like Dr. Pachel too. Not only is he a good vet behaviorist, but he so nice and down to earth and supportive. I was at my wits end when I took Tucker to see him, and I left the appointment feeling sooo much better! Leslie
