mbc1963
http://discovermagazine.com/2007/mar/raw-data-scents-and-scents-ability/ Just discovered that this morning. I've noticed sometimes that if I pay attention to Buddy, I know more about my scent environment than I would have thought. For example, I can identify when Joey has gone by my house for a good chunk of time afterwards. (Joey's owner smokes a pipe and is a bit disheveled, so carries a scent.) And if I pay attention, I notice that I can often scent what it is that Buddy's sussing out on a morning walk - as long as it's something really good, like fresh fox poop or dead mouse. urge to herd
Just so long as you don't roll in it, Mary! Scent is a very powerful thing for humans, one that affects us even when we're unconscious of it. Will read the article after I get back from work today. Ruth and Agent Gibbs, who is already very fond of smells. Any smells.
juliepoudrier
Interesting. Loved the photos! I have always been sensitive to smells, so it's not surprising to me that the human sense of smell is btter than we give it credit for. J.
