I tend to look at the eyes to figure out if a dog is part BC - IMO they have such hypnotic eyes and the trait always comes through, even in mixes. I think this girl is probably part BC. FlyByNight Posted September 24, 2009 Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 Yeah I actually do see something rather setter-y about her, which could well be Brittany since they're not spaniels at all, they're actually closer to pointers and setters. It's something about that low elbow, narrow chest, straight shoulder thing, with the deeper barrel but narrow waist and a bit of an arch to the spine. They also tend to carry themselves very upright. Some of the shots remind me of my mini aussie cept for the tail, and I also see cattle dog just because of the coloring, and brittany. You know, I think that you are probably right on the money. Thank you for not making me the only one to say that I don't see much bc in her at all. setsail Posted September 24, 2009 Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 My girl Poe is very similar in the body. About 27lbs. People have said maybe border collie/springer mix. For what it is worth, my girl is becoming one hell of a flyball dog if that is what they are looking for. Let me see if I can find a picture.
