Rallim
So we've been toying with the idea of getting another (hopefully) Border Collie as a friend for Marla, so she can run off her energy, and have someone to socialize with (all the time at least). Would this be a bad idea? She seems great with other dogs, and loves to play, but I'm not an expert so not 100% sure.
NC_Y2K9
I have 2 BCs and give the general idea two paws up! If I remember from your picture post, Marla is 5 months old, right? You're still in for quite an adventure with many more puppy dramas ahead of you in the next few months, so taking on another may turn into a handful. Sue_Deutscher
I say get another one. Your dog needs to have someone to blame things on. PETE
desertranger
I want another BC.... *tantrum* I want another BC.... I want another BC.... I want another BC.... Go for it but realize they don't make designer straight jackets.
Sue_Deutscher
I needed that this morning. I think right now I'd take a straight jacket right off the shelf. Sue
Sue_Deutscher
She says I have a mouth made out of velcro. She can't take the blankets off the couch, which I got all muddy, without me grabbing them. She can't shake them out without me grabbing them. She can't put them in the washer without... It's a good thing I'm easily distracted. PETE
Ninso
This topic gets covered a lot. Here is a recent thread with lots of great advice: http://www.bordercollie.org/boards/index.php?showtopic=23009
