Liz P
If white sheep will not respect a white BC, what do you do with these? http://www.zwartbles.org/index.php
juliepoudrier
LOL! It's always been my contention that sheep don't all come in white, so why would it just be white dogs they disrespect. My flock is mostly nonwhite sheep, so the one dog who stands out when working them is my white dog. Those are some neat looking sheep though! J. jdarling
I was just out taking pictures of my ram lamb ... Pepe (Le Pew) Complete with ... I'll have to work on those socks, though. Those are great! Jodi
Liz P
I can't see the second pic Any idea why? This is a relatively new laptop for me and it's a Mac, so I am still learning how things work. I would love some of those sheep but bet it would cost a fortune to import them. Maybe you can start a new breed, the Idaho Skunk Sheep.
juliepoudrier
Liz, You can't import sheep (except maybe from scrapie-free areas like New Zealand and Australia), so you'll just have to dream.... J.
Soda-pop
I bet the little lambios are so cute, you'd want to just die.
Liz P
I thought you could import embryos, which would cost a fortune to ship then implant in donor ewes.
juliepoudrier
The rules change, but I thought you couldn't import anything like that from any country that is not scrapie-free. If Bill F. reads this he'd probably know the answer for sure. I know folks import semen, but that's all I've ever heard anyone importing from that part of the world. J. Little Bo Boop
Well if you can't import one of those ;-) how about one of these ;-)
jdarling
I can't see the second pic sad.gif Any idea why? I think I fixed it ... does that work? Betty, that bull is nice lookin', but I think I want one of these.
Little Bo Boop
Nuh uhhh! Thats gotta be photoshopped ;-) snopes it ;-) Those other cows are belted galloways, they have some down the road from me, the first time we passed them, we did a double take, they looked fake ;-) very odd the way they have that white belt around their middles. Lewie'sMom
There are some of those on a little farm outside of town. We've always called them oreo cows. Now, if somebody could breed them so one of the black sections is red, they'd be neopolitan cows.
Liz P
The farm up the street has a whole herd. The have blacks, blues, reds and lilacs. I've heard BGs are kind of a pain to work with compared to Charolais and Angus. They are a nice size though. I know a woman who isn't even 5 ft tall and has a team of competition pulling steers (Holstein). That pic looks about correct for scale in her case (I had never seen such tall cattle in my life!). It's hysterical to watch her give the steers orders. They are like giant puppy dogs, very docile and respectful of her. I still want my BC sheep. Jumpin Boots
Don't know if this attachment is going to come through, I seem to be having technical difficulties, but just saw this ad and they could pass as bc sheep
