Woodenlion
I have tried searching the web for this and I am not finding much. My sisters Cocker Spaniel was diagnosed with bells palsy. She has had bloodwork done twice to check for tick borne disease and it came up negative. Three vets have diagnosed bells palsy. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I appreciate the help. kelpiegirl
I believe Horners Syndrome causes the same symptoms you are seeing. Here is a link to a site: http://www.eyevet.info/horner.html Julie
BustopherJones
Symptoms that mimic Bell's Palsy may appear in animals afflicted with Lyme Disease. You may want to verify that your dog was tested for that specific disease in order to ensure that proper treatment is being administered. HCBell
If it is Bells Palsy, at least in humans, the symptoms can go away, maybe it will in the dog too. I knew a man with it, and he had a paralyzed left side of the face for a few weeks, but then it went away. I hope it does with your sisters dog.
