Allie Oop
Interesting. Most of the names I've seen before. One of the products threw me though - the Addiction Foods Wild Kangaroo and Apples????? Does that mean it's made with kangaroo meat? Sounds a little exotic for me. ljrphoto
I looked it up because, well, WOW. Kangaroo meat? Here is a link... http://www.naturalpetmarket.com/productdet...roduct_ID=addka The ingredients look pretty good and wild caught anything is generally going to be a healthier food. It's pretty spendy though.
Tassie
Yes, kangaroo meat (well, it's often wallaby as well) is a very commonly used pet food here in Oz - though mostly raw rather than in processed food. It's a lean meat, and dogs and cats seem to love it. My nearly 18 year old cat does very well on it, and roo tail peices are a great treat for my dogs. Just in case you're worried, kangaroos and wallaies are almost in plague proportions in some places here; they are such big strong animals they can break down or jump fences easily, and make big inroads into crops and compete for grazing - especially in drought times like now.
