BC registries?

NASDS was the first border collie registry in the US. AIBC was formed by a breakaway group, and later ABCA was formed by a breakaway group from the AIBC. All three survived until fairly recently, generally recognizing and accepting one another's papers for registration, but NASDS and AIBC have gradually dwindled away, and as far as I know they are not really functioning at this time. All three of these registries were/are oriented toward the "real" border collie, bred for herding work.

The NASDS is still busy registering Border Collies - my last pup was registered with NASDS in 2003, as well as CBCA in Canada.

Some people still prefer NASDS over ABCA because you aren't restricted in the number of letters in the Dog's registered name. Their turn around time is very satisfactory as well.

I don't know about AIBC
