KathyF
Hi All- I am just wondering if anyone on this list has run into hypoglycemia? If so, how have you managed your dog?? Any different feeding protocol? What type of food do you feed your dog?? Multiple feedings or do you feed extra on days that they are under stress, ie trialing?? Any information would be appreciated, Kathy
blackeyesue
Check the past posts about this. How old is your dog? Our bc was diagnosed with this last year. He is now 18 mos. He only had the one episode and has been great since. He eats the same time morning and night and when he is playing hard (swimming, frisbee, whatever) I can tell now by looking at him when he has had enough and needs to settle down and eat something. Protein snacks are good (we give chicken and lean meats). I always make sure I have some kind of food with when we leave home just in case. I dont believe in not feeding before training sessions. Buddy does much better when he has eaten, plus he is toy motivated, not food motivated. Hope this helps!
