Muscle memory

Recommended Posts

These are very interesting questions! Alas, I have no definitive answers....

I would think that its a matter of "how many repetitions" vs. how long. If one practiced something, say in agility, five times a day for a week, that would go much farther in developing that muscle memory than once a day - or five times a day, two days a week. Wouldn't it?

I laughed when I thought about how "what muscle memory do I have?" Obviously, lots! But when I had my kitchen re-done, and the drawer that used to hold the silverware became a cutting board....that cutting board was opened a LOT looking for a spoon!

Looking forward to someone else's answer on this one....

It took me about ten times to get out of the habit of going to the wrong side of the gate when I switched the hinges to the other side. But then, I don't know if I'm average????or not??

But then that is just partly changing an old habit, not trying to develope a new one. In my case I already knew to open the gate, just getting to the correct side had to change.
