Smalahundur
I bought seven "gemlingar" (Icelandic term for sheep in their first winter) yesterday. The reason that this oppertunity came along is a sad one as their previous owner unexpectedly passed away a couple of weeks ago. They are polled which is not very common here and of various colors. Also they are non pregnant. This makes them interesting for dog training, the polled sheep seem to be more docile, and less likely to "stand their ground". Smalahundur
Okay, as promised. These are some pics of the sheep I talked about. Don´t look at their housing; it´s a temporary quarantine, improvised in the horse barn.

Smalahundur
Thanks Maja, yeah they should be happy, they were rescued from the butcher . On the other hand they haven´t met Táta yet, at least not in the open. I´ve been following your thread about "non broke sheep for a young dog". That´s looking good! Maja
It will be very interesting to read about your experiences, I hope you will share with us. It's a really learning experience for me, it shows me how little I still understand sheep. I thought my new sheep were very calm until Bonnie's brother came to visit and the sheep were all over the place . Maja
