Lane Campbell
Depends on what you are looking for. I do not know of anyone working sheep dogs, but there are several folks working dogs on cattle. There is a new association being started that has put on some "playdays" with cattle. (Southern Stockdog Assn.- contact Pat Fusilier @ 337/457-9058). I have a stocker operation in Palmetto, La. and use my dogs daily. I would be glad to help you if you are interested in working cattle. Sue R
We have only cattle at home, and train elsewhere only on sheep. A good dog reads its stock and responds accordingly. Many folks with cattle start their young dogs (and young-in-training dogs) on sheep. Best wishes!

PennyT
I think that Liz's answer is true for some dogs and some people. In general, that answer is misleading for someone just starting out. Penny
