Pam Wolf
Unusually large coyotes shot by hunter. 104 lbs. Yikes. http://mdc.mo.gov/newsroom/hunter-shoots-unusually-large-coyote-northwest-missouri Pam, Gnat is one gnarly girl and she is the scale by which I grade all other LGDs, love love love that dog. However, that storm/fireworks phobia thing of hers...wicked bad. Jen I heard that 'coyote' was a wolf/coyote hybred via DNA. Gnat has learned to go to a shed for storms. Unfortunately she has taught the others to a smaller extent. But after Phel, NO dog is as bad w/storms LOL! We now have to watch Gnat if people are moving/handling sheep. she has bitten 2 people now while handling 'her' sheep.
aljones
I know this is an old thread, but I thought of it--and you folks in the area--today when a friend from MO shared this link about a man killing a mountain lion in Ray County: KMBC news story. Pam Wolf
Athorities in both KS and MO deny there are cougars in the area
Liz P
Yeah, and the wildlife officers in MA also deny cougars, but they are in the area. According to their definition a species isn't local until it starts breeding there. Photos and road kill don't count as a local population. I say, tell that to the farmers!
