Andi_D
Hello, I am new to the BC boards. I have a 2 year old BC that I got from a strong line of working dogs with some champion blood lines. I don't know if this is the right place for this question, but I am looking for a good breeder in my area who breeds working or trial BC's. Also, am I too late to start training my 2 year old for trials? If not, do you know of a good trainer in my area as well? My BC would have been great at agility, she jumps my 4 foot patio fence with very little effort and she herds my 4 year old all over the yard. I live in the Temecula Valley in California. We are about an hour north of San Diego. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,
Gloria Atwater
Hi, I hope I'll be pardoned for stepping in, here. I don't know about breeders, (are you looking for another youngster?) but there are some stockdog trainers out that way. There's Terri Parrish out of Escondido. I don't know much about her, but here's her website: http://www.actionk9sports.com/ Also Anna Guthrie out of Valley Center. Again I don't know her, but here website ishere: http://www.stockdogranch.com/ Other California trainers are listed on this page: http://www.k9station.com/stockdog.htm#C Hope this helps! Cheers ~ Gloria

Her website is http://www.caninesnewe.com. She puts on a great dog trial over New Year's weekend as well, would definitely suggest you go and spectate. stockdogranch
Hey...I'm now in Pala, about 20 minutes south of you...let me know if you want to come out and see some other students, etc. Two is not too old to start, and it's worth taking a look... Chesney's Girl
I think you should take a drive and visit Anna. You won't be disappointed with her abilities as a trainer.
