sluj
Last time I went to the butcher, I asked whether they had any bones or 'parts' that didn't sell well. I was offered (free!) large quantities of chicken skin, of which I accepted about five pounds. My question is, given how fatty it is, how much can I feed? I froze the whole thing, and have been slicing thin rounds (about the size of a post-it pad) to feed alongside a turkey neck. Is this OK for a once-a-week treat? Also, I've read some warnings about weight-bearing bones. Does that include drumsticks?
Root Beer
I'm interested in the answer to this question. I always cut most of the skin off of my dog's chicken quarters, when they have them. I never cut skin off of backs, but I always cut it off the quarters. Maybe I don't need to?
