Olivia
Hello, I know a couple of people around here do freestyle with their dogs. I was just sent a wonderful video of a golden doing a routine and would love to learn more about how to teach some of those behaviors. I don't think I have any desire to compete or anything, but I think my dogs would have fun learning more fun tricks (plus it would be fun to show off to friends). Does anyone have any books they can recommend for me to learn more? Thanks, Olivia
Root Beer
Kay Laurence - Clicker Dances With Dogs. It's competition oriented, but it has the best descriptions of teaching moves from scratch that I've ever come across.

Tassie
And for a slightly different perspective - but still lots of fun, you might like to have a look at a couple of Heelwork to Music (English version of freestyle) sites - the Mary Ray one has a couple of books and DVDs which show how to teach moves. Mary Ray And this one has some great clips - hopefully they will be working - especially Attila's Charlie Chaplin routine Attila dog dance clips I've taught mine a few moves - but been a bit busy (and lazy) to get into it seriously. The dogs love doing this stuff.
