Rebecca, Irena Farm
We were talking about sheep colors the other day. Our only black ewe just had twins by one of my Texel rams. The nice thing is that the last two times this ewe has lost one of her twins. This time both are healthy, yay! But here's the funny thing. She usually has two black lambs. This time she had a black lamb with a white spot and a white lamb with a black spot. The black lamb is a ram and the white one is a ewe. My sister immediately named them Yin and Yang. I almost hate to wether the ram - I'd hate to disturb the "balance".
tucknjill
I just had the cutest lamb I have ever had..it is marked in the head like Robins Spottie..the rest is white...sooooooooo cute and thankfully a ewe. Sure hope I get sleep tonight, I was up all night getting lambs in out of the snow. All made it, so a great night.
Rebecca, Irena Farm
Here they are - Yin, Yang, Ewe. Appropos of nothing in particular, notice the naturally short tails. My first "on site" ram threw these short tails.
