tucknjill
Anyone have any sound advice on whether I should run my bitch this weekend...she will probably be bred Wed, Fri and Sunday..I am trying to decide if I should run her this weekend or not...dont want to do ANYTHING to risk these puppies. It is a fairly short course, maybe 300 yards on fairly broke sheep. This is only my second litter and it wasnt an issue last time...?????? Thinking I will probably bag running her. Thanks, Sam
ikw
Hi Sam, When I bred Ana,next day after she settled, she was out braking cattle for the next 4 days.Didn't stop her from dropping 6 little squirts 2 months down the road. OTOH,Sarah's Gnat didn't settle at all when she ran after mating few times and gave birth only when she was retired from running for few weeks. I guess, every bitch is different. tucknjill
I think I will just err on the side of caution...gonna call my vet today too and ask the guy that owns the stud dog...he has been in this for some 30 years...get a bunch of opinions and probably just not run her anyway! thanks for writing!
