gcv-border Posted June 3, 2014 Report Share Posted June 3, 2014 Has anyone used Spectra Sure Plus, flea and tick monthly treatment by Durvet? How has it worked for you? It is much cheaper than Frontline Plus so I am investigating it. Ingredients are fipronil and methoprene. IIRC, another product may have the same ingredients, but can't remember which one. As others have reported, the tick problem seems worse than usual this year. I have a Seresto collar on my older dog and still find attached ticks - but to be fair, they are not dug in and they seem less active - suggesting that they may be incapacitated/dieing because of the Seresto protection. The puppy is treated with Vectra 3D Canine which seems to be working better from the point of finding fewer ticks. Still looking for that magic treatment.
