It could be a few times a month or a couple times a week. Not really any rhyme or reason to it (ie, the same activities don't always trigger it). The goal should be for her to have a firm enough stool that she expresses her glands when she has a BM. Some dogs benefit from additional fiber, some need higher protein. Good luck!
