Laurelin
A friend of mine works at a kill shelter there and this guy is on the 'at risk' because he is HW+. I am hoping someone somewhere can help this poor guy. He is 36 lbs, 6 years old, named Max. Turned in to the shelter because he chewed. I checked the "Pets at Risk" page today, and sure enough, he was on there. It turns out he has heartworms, and, like most small rural shelters, we don't have the funds to treat things like that I was just wondering if that was still an option. He is SUCH a good dog. Good with other dogs, cats, kids, livestock, eveything. I'm really trying to get him out.[/Quote] shelter: http://www.tupeloleehumane.org/petsatrisk.php
Jexa
Has anyone talked to WTBCR? http://bordercollierescuewesttennessee.com/ Or, I live an hour south of Tupelo, I'd be willing to transport if there's interest. Such a sweet face, I hope someone can take him.
PSmitty
He was adopted once from this shelter, then returned. With heartworms. I hope he can get into a rescue where he'll hopefully find the right home this time. Do contact the TN rescues, like everyone else, they're swamped, but they may be able to squeeze him in. waffles
Any update on this boy? It really is a shame he is so far away, I would love to foster him. Looks like such a sweet fun dog.

Sue R
If that's so, that's great news! What a cute face he has - although I realize that appearance counts for nothing, the pictures of some dogs just tug at your heart.
