Roger Culbreath

I am very sad to report that Roger Culbreath passed away last night after a brief battle with cancer. Roger was a pioneer of the stockdog community in Colorado, and he was a past president of the USBCHA as well as founding member of the Mountain & Plains Border Collie Association. His vision and direction is felt to this day. We've lost a great friend to the border collie, a true gentleman, and a wealth of knowledge about the partnership between stockdog and handler. Roger has influenced generations of handlers, and he will be greatly missed by people in the stockdog community throughout North America. We were lucky to have him in our part of the country, and his passing leaves an immense void. Cards can be sent to his wife Nancy and the rest of his family at the following address:

Nancy Culbreath

County Road 55

Gill, CO 80624

I know Roger had many, many friends in the stockdog community. His family has set up an email account for those wishing to express their condolences at WordsForRoger@gmail.com. It is a hectic time of year, and this is an easy way to let Roger's family know he is missed.

In lieu of flowers, Roger's family is asking that a donation be made to the Roger Culbreath Memorial Fund at the American Border Collie Association to aid in research.

Make checks to the ABCA and address the envelopes to:

Roger Culbreath Memorial Fund

American Border Collie Assoc.

82 Rogers Road

Perkinston, MS 39573-8843

Thanks,

Laura
