PennyT
A friend of mine in Gulfport, Mississippi just inherited five Border collies. My friend has two or three of his own already. The five (two males and three females) belonged to an acquaintance of his who was killed in an accident two weeks ago. I've seen the males work; they would have been fabulous if seriously trained. The old one had never seen sheep before and worked like a reliable trained dog, so remarkable a sight that I thought the dog had to have some experience. The three females are apparently unsocialized. Where do I send my friend for help? Penny
Sue R
What kind of help does your friend want/need? Rehoming, training, rescue, what? If it's rehoming/rescue, do the dogs have papers? If so, can the breeder be contacted to possibly help?
PennyT
I wish to know what reliable rescue group might help him out. Penny
Sue R
I'm trying to see if I can get some references for you.
Sue R
I didn't get a reference for that area but the website www.bcrnd.org (Border Collie Rescue National Directory) might be helpful for finding links.
