Shetlander
I don't think it's a border collie thing. Our Toller grumbles and 'roos' all the time. I don't think it's a Border Collie thing either. Both my Lhasas have been the biggest talkers of any of my dogs -- growling, grumbling, muttering, sighing, barking, whining. My current Lhasa is especially insistant on having the last word and is the least likely to quiet when I tell him to. My first Sheltie had lots of opinions too. Now that I type this, I think I must encourage or at least tolerate free thinking in my dogs. Belle's Happy Howl - wait till about 25 seconds in & she really gets going! I can't get that link to work. Too bad. I wanted to see if her Happy Howl was like Quinn's.

Beautiful dogs! Belle's Happy Howl is deeper and more gutteral than Quinn's. His is more a goofy, woo kind of sound. Very cute video. Thanks for sharing.
