Sachja Posted May 24, 2009 Report Share Posted May 24, 2009 Hi there - we have a 5 month old puppy named Sachja. We've been walking / running with her and building up distance slowly. At this age, how far is too far for her? At most we're doing runs of up to 30 mins - combined with walking. I am not an expert, but I do know that repetitive motion on a puppy's joints can lead to potential long term damage to the joints. I would say what you are doing (a mix of running and walking) for a half hour a day would maybe be a good limit for right now? Better safe than sorry is my rule of thumb!
