KrisK
I'm a member of both the Canadian Border Collie Association and the Ontario Border Collie club. I don't have any working dogs but I can be a member. I just checked the USBCC site also the USBCHA site and it appears that you don't need a working dog to be a member. So, if membership supports these boards, then there is a way to help out with costs by joining.
SoloRiver
Yup, that's right -- the USBCC is open to anyone who supports the authentic Border Collie, and its mission to preserve the breed as a true working dog (that also happens to be enjoyed by hobbyists and pet owners, into which category I would put myself). One of the benefits of membership is receipt of the quarterly newsletter, which is now edited by yours truly. Therefore, if you guys don't all join up, my feelings will be hurt, and I will be sad and cry. So join already!
