blackacre
Hey all, I was just looking at Geri Byrne's website, which has pics from her shedding clinic. (Nice website BTW Geri. Wish I could come by---YOU don't have snow do you?) The sheep are wearing wide blaze orange velcro collars. Used at the Nationals too I believe, Anyway, the question is: any one have any ideas on where to get such items? Is sewing required? (Hope not!) Have you seen any other types that work well? I seem to recall some event in the past used sheep-neck sized scrunchies, which I guess would be cool too, but, ummmm . . . . back to the sewing problem. I've used yellow plastic emergency tape in the past but don't like it much--tends to get buried in the wool. Buckles would be too much hassle for the pen guys I would think. So, what do you think? Shoofly
Kent used to take inner tubes and cut them up. They'd slip over the heads pretty easily. You might have to experiment to find the right size though.
Bill Fosher
The scrunchies are great, but they do require sewing. We used some sort of zebra-stripe and leopard-spotted polyester that was on the super-ultra clearance table at the fabric store. The ewes felt like whores, but the job got done.
