bordersandjacks
I've been out of town for a week, and when I got back this weekend one of my wethers was wheezing and obviously having trouble breathing. Lots of mucus discharge. I assumed he had pneumonia and gave him LA200. He looks 100% better today, the wheezing has gone away. I'm trying to determine how long and how frequently to give him more antibiotics. The only thing I can find on the web says every two or three days repeat. Do you agree? How long? 5 doses every other day for 10 days? Thanks, Jenny Staton Tree Frog Fen Seabrook, SC

Bill Fosher
I've used two or three doses two days apart for the symptoms you describe. But having said that, long-acting oxytetracycline is not labeled for sheep, and any advice about its use should come from your veterinarian.
