For those of you who work cattle with your dogs or who would enjoy watching dogs work cattle, I am sure this will be very enjoyable. John is always a gracious host. Howdy: Entries open June 15, 2005 for the Buckeye Cow Dog Association Hourglass Trial at Lavelle Farms Saturday-Sunday July 30-31, 2005. It is a time and points cattle trial sanctioned with the U.S.B.C.H.A. and L.S.C.D.F. No sheep classes will be offered in July. It will be first come, first serve. Entries will close July 15, 2005 or when full. Each day is a separate trial. Classes offered include: Open, Ranch (Dog must not have won 1, 2, or 3 at any cattle trial,) Nursery, (May be a class within a class depending on entries) Horseback and Novice (Handler must not have won 1,2 or 3 at any trial). The trial will be held in the new Rafter L Bar indoor arena with 600 weight cattle. Entry forms can be downloaded on our web site www.lavellefarms.com or by contacting me. Snail mail entry forms have been posted. Camper hook-ups and stalls for the horses are available as well. The handler's meeting will be at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning and immediately before each class thereafter. We'll follow the same schedule on Sunday. John P.
