I had started to notice that my bc puppy Dixie was itching her eyes to the point of bleeding, so we brought her to the vet to see what was up. We ended up finding out that she's allergic to dust! juliepoudrier Posted February 1, 2007 Report Share Posted February 1, 2007 I don't know if it's the same or not, since we never actually did any allergy testing, but one of my dogs--the one who obsessively runs in circles--had a period of time when he'd do a lot of coughing when he raised dust with his running. Medication helped control it. When I moved to a new location, dust raised by running no longer caused any coughing, so I suspect there was something in the dust in the local environment that was causing him a problem.
