Sparty
Just curious, we went to have a look at our puppy who is 4 weeks old and had to wait while the breeder came in from the sheep with the pups mum and dad, puppies were fast asleep fat and happy and mum was in no rush to leave the sheep but I was curious. Rebecca, Irena Farm
My new pup was three weeks old last weekend and my trainer (the breeder) had planned to begin working her lightly. He took a really nasty chemo treatment yesterday which may curtail HIS activity this week somewhat but he plans to slowly increase her work load as soon as he is able. She was trying to get through the fence to the sheep two days after the pups were born, and she was what I'd call an exceptional mother. Should have read it BEFORE I sent. Make that, "My pup was three weeks old last weekend and my trainer planned to begin working her MOTHER lightly" Yeah, I'm planning to run my pup in Open by the time she's weaned. After all that talk of "letting a pup be a pup."
