ShellyF
We are having a brutal few days. Heavy downpours and then freezing to -15c within 24 hours has turned our yard and even woodland into sheet ice. Thankfully today we had a little snow so I set up a sausage hunt in Merlin’s outdoor pen with thin slices of hot dog buried in the snow. Yesterday it was little cubes of cheese stuffed into tree stumps. Sniffing really tires him! Inside we have turned two sofas and an ottoman into an agility course and he leaps between them with glee as we pretend to chase him. After five minutes he flops. We also do training and toy tossing down the corridor and a toy hunt around different rooms. We have managed to get out to our back field in our grippy boots - aided by using ski poles - to toss a ball for him but the ice is bad and he has cut his paw Fingers crossed for heavy snow or a heavy thaw so that we can drive and walk down the lane to the ball field as he’d love a really long run but right now it’s just too icy. Somehow we are muddling through haha!
