carolync
I'm having problems with a long distance recall, especially when he's distracted with birds or squirrels. The Hope on a Rope method sounds fantastic, but here's the problem. I bought a 25 ft lead and if I attach it to his collar, he sticks to me like velcro, he's perfect. Take it off and he runs around like a maniac ignoring me if there is a distraction. He equates the leash to going out for a walk, and he'll do anything to go for a walk. Any suggestions? Thanks, Carolyn
blackacre
Make sure the line is a really light (but strong) one, let him drag it around in the park or whatever until he forgets he has it on. A.
