Edison Posted February 19, 2001 Report Share Posted February 19, 2001 Hi ~ I was hoping someone in the Chicagoland area could help me. My dog Edison--Eddie--is 3 yrs. old and has never had any formal obedience training. He was never a problem, but lately he has been snappy and biting. He goes to dog daycare everyday and today he bit an 11 year old Lab for no particular reason. He is also starting to be very growly at our cats, which is a relatively new problem. Needless to say, he has been "suspended" from daycare. My husband and I and our friends at the daycare agree that something must be done immediately, but I don't know Chicago very well. Our daycare host recommended some folks in the area who are highly regarded, but none of them have ever worked with BCs. Does anyone know of any trainers or behavioralists in the area that really know the BC breed? Any help is greatly appreciated. There are health problems that can cause behavior problems, and it would be a good idea to rule the health problems out first. Other, medically minded folks on the board may share their thoughts.
