Zebbie
I read a wonderful training article on flyball, it gives step by step instructions and it works wonders!! This is the sight and it the training method is wonderful. http://muskie.fishnet.com/~flyball/on_mark.html#chapter_8 you may want to read the whole thing, it has some great tips on a fast recall as well. Deacon Dog
Most teams use a backward chaining technique which essentially breaks down the course into small segments. The best way to learn is to get out there and do it. There will be experienced people at practices who will help you get started. There are several books about flyball, including training methods. I recommend Joan Payne's Flying High: The Complete Book of Flyball. You can order it at amazon.com. Tony Luper Summerfield, NC

mygirls
The flyball homepage is www.flyball.com. Flyball is a wonderful sport for dogs. My blue heeler is on a team and I am training my border collie (mix?) pup. It is a great way for them to release their energy.
