maisie
Hello, Well had the visit with the neurologist at the end of last week, not great news. Firstly Maisie is on a month of antibiotics for the treatment of toxoplasmosis, as the vet said he has had cases where the tests were negative but the dog has been infected........ if she has toxo then within another few days we should see an improvement........... am hoping and praying on this one!!! Basically after a full neurological examination Maisie has very little sensation in her peripheral nerves, so a sensory neuropathy, which will degenerate over time. Have to go back next week to have an electromiograph done, which measures the electrical impulses from the nerves, and also a biopsy done to see whats going on in the muscle tissue and nerve endings. Here's to hoping.......................

Sue R
Here's hoping. I think Maisie is very fortunate to have you because you are looking after her and actively pursuing trying to find out what the problem is, and what you might be able to do about it. Very, very best wishes!
